James Mackenzie Flooring fits carpet and sheet vinyl in homes across St Andrews, travelling from Dundee: carpet fitting is £5 per m² (£80 minimum under 16 m²), vinyl fitting £6.50 per m² (£100 minimum), and the site measure is free.
James Mackenzie Flooring covers St Andrews for carpet and vinyl fitting. It is a service-area visit from Dundee, not a shop you walk into. James measures on site, talks through the awkward bits, and fits the job himself. Stairs, landings and rooms that are not a simple rectangle come up often in this town, and those are the jobs he would rather see in person than price from a sketch.
An awkward staircase is planned on the treads, not on a phone photo. The same goes for a room with bays, fireplaces or a change of level. Carpet is stretch-fitted with gripper; vinyl is sheet-fitted for kitchens, bathrooms and wet rooms. James supplies the floor from the ranges on this site. Laminate, LVT and tiles stay supply only.
Fitting prices are the same as Dundee: carpet £5 per m² with an £80 minimum under 16 m², vinyl £6.50 per m² with a £100 minimum, and free gripper with carpet fitting. Call 07948 604069 for a free site measure in St Andrews. Say if the job includes stairs so the visit is timed properly.
The quotes below are the MyBuilder reviews that name St Andrews, copied verbatim. No extra jobs are added. If you already know the range, start in the carpet or vinyl book; if you do not, the measure is the place to begin.
Based in Dundee, James also covers St Andrews for carpet and vinyl. See carpet fitting Dundee.

James arrived on time with his tools, ready to start work. Completed the job to a very high standard, worked without taking a break. Great tradesman I would highly recommend James.

Great service and fast professional fitting! Jim did a great job when it came to advising us on an awkward staircase fit and was helpful throughout - prompt, reliable and very good tradesperson. Would recommend.

Really quick response to request and James did a great job fitting a carpet in an awkwardly shaped room. Professional job, even vacuuming and leaving everything slick and span before leaving. Highly recommend.

James did an excellent job patching our damaged carpet. The job when completed was invisible and I’m delighted with his work. I would definitely recommend James, he was on time, hardworking and very knowledgeable.

James was pleasant and professional, arrived on time and made a tidy job of our new wool bedroom carpet. He has many years experience and could even tell where and when we got our other carpets. He also measured our hallway and staircase after the job he was done and when we're ready to change it, we'll be getting him back. Glad I didn't tackle this job myself! Happy customers would recommend James. Neil Mac - St Andrews.
